OUR PROJECTS

WILDFIRE MITIGATION/ LAND CLEARING

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK

This project encompassed a 20-acre site earmarked for the construction of 13 distinct buildings intended for National Park employees. Roughly half of the area required wildfire cleanup following the East Troublesome Fire, while the remainder was forested. Our approach involved utilizing excavators, tracked chippers, and masticators to clear the terrain, alongside constructing a temporary road using wood chips for site access. Adhering to stringent regulations, we meticulously safeguarded designated areas for new growth and cultural artifacts, collaborating closely with the National Park Service throughout the process.

EXCAVATION

BOULDER RIDGE

This project involved assisting a local builder with his personal residence and obtaining approval from the local building department for a temporary certificate of occupancy. Our scope included installing dry utilities, constructing a new culvert at the road, preparing the driveway for effective drainage and future concrete work, as well as distributing topsoil around the house to achieve the desired final grade.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK UTILITY PROJECT

This project involved decommissioning abandoned water, sewer, gas, and electrical utilities at a former homestead ravaged by the East Troublesome Fire within the park. In total, we addressed approximately 60 utilities, including the abandonment of four Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS).

COUNTRY GREEN

Phase one of the Country Green project involved constructing a new driveway to facilitate the application for a building permit. Approximately 2000 cubic yards of fill were brought in to ensure precise elevation adjustments. In the upcoming spring, our focus will shift to completing the home foundation.

LEECH FIELD INSTALLATIONS

This project involved a custom leach field installation situated on a hillside. Three 100-foot runs of infiltrators were installed at a 1% slope. We utilized a laser grade control system on the excavator to ensure precise placement in accordance with specifications.

CUSTOM TREEHOUSE

This project consisted of four separate footers on a hillside and trenching  dry utilities from the main house, extending 200 feet up the hill to the treehouse site.

MARIBOU FIRE MITIGATION

This project entailed the removal of all deadfall and standing dead timber, coupled with selective mastication of dense underbrush to establish a protective perimeter around the planned building site.
